Do I need to back up my files before a repair?
Yes. We always recommend keeping a current backup of your important data, ideally before your computer ever needs repair. In some cases, the problem that caused your computer to need service may have already damaged or put your data at risk.
While we take care to protect your files during the repair process, unexpected issues can occur. If you don’t have a current backup, we can create an image of your drive before beginning any repair work for $49.95. Provided the drive and file system are in good condition, this gives us a copy of your data as it existed when the computer was brought in.
For the best protection, however, nothing replaces having a current backup in place before a problem occurs.
What laptop brands and models do you repair?
Most consumer and business laptops that come in. If we can't service your machine, or it isn't worth repairing, we'll tell you honestly before you commit.
Can you really get my files back?
When the hardware allows it, yes. Data recovery starts with a careful assessment of the drive or board, and you get a straight answer about what's recoverable before any work begins.
Do you install upgrades like SSDs?
Yes — swapping a slow mechanical drive for a solid-state drive is one of our most common upgrades, and we can usually clone your existing files and settings over in the process.
How long does a typical repair take?
